Well-being

Children’s wellbeing is fundamental to their happiness, development, and success. When children feel safe, supported and valued, they are better able to learn, build positive relationships and reach their full potential. We are committed to creating a nurturing environment where every child feels a sense of belonging and is encouraged to develop the confidence, resilience and emotional skills needed to thrive both in school and beyond. Our ethos of “Nurture Grow Flourish” underpins everything we do.

Wellbeing is woven throughout school life and is supported through our PSHE curriculum, pastoral care systems and wider enrichment opportunities. Children are taught to recognise and understand their emotions, develop positive coping strategies and build healthy relationships with others. From the early years through to Year 6, we help pupils develop the skills they need to manage challenges, celebrate successes and grow into confident, compassionate individuals.

We recognise that every child is unique and that there may be times when additional support is needed. Our staff work closely with families and external professionals to ensure that children receive the right support at the right time. We also empower pupils to take an active role in promoting positive wellbeing through initiatives such as our Wellbeing Champions, who help share the message of the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’ across the school community.

The resources and information on this page are designed to support both children and families. Whether you are looking for practical activities, advice on emotional wellbeing, or signposting to specialist support services, we hope you will find these resources helpful. By working together, we can help every child develop the confidence, resilience and wellbeing they need to flourish.
